To add to our smarts pool I took time to do a full clean win 10 system rebuild, I imaged the drive then installed cCleaner. For those interested after putting a new Win 10 enterprise image on my system and deselecting both "MUI Cache" plus "Start Menu Ordering" option in the registry section of cCleaner ir worked flawlessly for over 3 months.
I have done no further work to isolate which one it is. My issue definitely started after I ran the "Cleaner" section no the Registry section. So does running the "Cleaner" section also run Registry? Just seems like there is a disconnect here.
Some option s within the "Cleaner" section must be causing this issue on Windows 10 machines. Apprehensive about running "Cleaner" section again for fear of losing my start menu. At the pace Win10 is updated and changing I personally would not attempt to clean the registry in that OS.

Are you doing a regular clean or a registry clean? There are known problems with the start menu on some installations of Win 10 and 8, 8. Try reading this for a start, which gives some step by step instructions to fix these start menu problems: Posted February 6, I still believe that this is a Windows problem rather than a CCleaner problem.

People whom I support ie friends relatives and clients who also use it report this I have stopped using it and I have advised all that I support not to use it until something definitive is known, because every supposed known menu fix does nothing to fix this.
